Pam’s roots in Greencastle extend back to 1798 when her ancestors settled in the sleepy little town and began producing hats for the local market. Although she grew up in Hagerstown, MD, her marriage to Gerry returned her to the family’ roots. She and Gerry appreciate the rich heritage of the area. When White Hall Manor was put on the market, it only seemed natural that they should purchase this house built by a former associate of her great grandfather, the Honorable William C. Kreps. Pam enjoys entertaining and looks forward to serving her guests sumptuous breakfasts of lemon stuffed pancakes, home made sticky buns, or egg and sausage soufflé just to name a few.
Gerry grew up in the Pennsylvania Dutch area north
of Harrisburg. Although he graduated from Penn State
with a degree in Engineering, his true love has always
been history. With Pam’s help he has written two
successful books on area history. “Four Roses for
Sarah” is a historical romance set in the
Greencastle area that grew out of genealogical research
on Pam’s family. “The Life and Legacy of
John L. Grove” is a biography of the rise of Mr.
Grove from a Mennonite Minister’s son to the
founder of Grove Manufacturing and JLG Industries, two
world leaders in the construction equipment industry.
Both books are available for purchase at White Hall
